"We had a wonderful breakfast at this little cafe! They have a wide variety. The food was absolutely delicious and they serve large portions at very affordable prices. Cachorro, one of the owners, has a charming personality and he is also fluent in English. He makes everyone feel welcome and his service is impecable. His wife is the chef and she is a good one. We will be back in the near future for lunch as we can't wait to try some of the other dishes!"

"Never a disappointment here! The owner and staff are friendly and efficient. We have had breakfast, lunch and dinner on different visits and the food has always been great. Sit at a table on the street and watch La Cruz life pass by. If you have room, try one of the desserts inside. Inexpensive as well!"

"I am a big fan of tacos and quesadillas, so when I saw that this place did not have either I was disappointed. Our waiter (the owner?) told us the shrimp burrito was famous. Well, if he was lying it shouldn't matter, the burritos were next level. Seriously good food. I am going back there for sure."

"Wow - just fantastic! Great food, friendly service and reasonably priced. Don’t forget to check out the upstairs patio - if you need shade or to get out of the rain. Loved it - one my favs in town. A must !"

"Don Simon's is the gem of LaCruz....the food is fresh and delicious. Carlos and family work hard to make sure that everyone is well fed and feels welcome. The entire menu is good, no disappointments here. You can enjoy your meal at one of the lovely outside tables or go into the new addition upstairs. You can bring your own beverages if you prefer to have a glass of wine or beer with your meal. We have been to Don Simon's many many times and have always had great experiences. A casual, clean cafe with wonderful food prepared by a wonderful family."
